Oracle cards have been a powerful tool in my life for years. They have guided me through moments of clarity, uncertainty, and deep reflection, helping me uncover hidden thoughts, energy shifts, and intuitive guidance. Whether you're completely new to oracle or looking for a fresh way to use them, I want to share how this practice can help you connect with yourself, shift your mindset, and unlock deeper personal growth.
What Are Oracle Cards & How Do They Work?
Unlike tarot cards, which follow a structured system, oracle cards are more fluid and intuitive. Each deck has its own themes, messages, and imagery, making them a beautiful reflection tool. They don’t predict the future, but rather, they help bring subconscious thoughts and emotions into your awareness—which is exactly why they are such a powerful tool for self-reflection and journaling.
Why I Use Oracle Cards for Coaching & Personal Growth
I’ve always believed in the magic of the universe. Growing up, I wasn’t drawn to one particular religion, but I always felt deeply connected to energy, intuition, and the belief that everything happens for a reason. Oracle cards became a way for me to tap into this, offering guidance in moments of uncertainty, celebration, or deep reflection.
For me, oracle cards aren’t about telling the future—they’re about unlocking thoughts and perspectives already within you. I use them in my personal practice for journaling, as conversation starters, and as a way to check in with my own energy. They allow me to pause, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity.
How to Use Oracle Cards for Journaling & Reflection
If you’re new to oracle cards, here’s a simple way to incorporate them into your personal growth practice:
1️⃣ Set Your Intention – Before pulling a card, take a deep breath and focus on a question or area of your life where you need clarity. (Examples: What do I need to focus on today? What lesson am I currently learning?)
2️⃣ Pull a Card – Trust your intuition. Shuffle the deck and pull the card that draws your attention. Don’t overthink it—your energy will always guide you to the right message.
3️⃣ Reflect on the Message – Read the card’s meaning and ask yourself how it applies to your life right now. Does it confirm something you already knew? Does it bring up a new perspective?
4️⃣ Journal Your Thoughts – Use the card as a journaling prompt. Write down what the message means to you, what emotions come up, and how it relates to your current challenges or goals.
5️⃣ Take Action – Oracle readings are not just about reflection; they’re about alignment. Use the insight to make decisions, shift your mindset, or take the next step toward what you want.
Oracle Cards in Coaching: Unlocking Deeper Conversations
One of my favourite ways to use oracle cards is during 1:1 coaching sessions. The energy and messages that come through during a reading often set the tone for the session, opening up deep, meaningful conversations that might not have happened otherwise.
💡 How I Use Oracle Cards in Coaching: ✔ Sometimes, I’ll pull a card before a call to tap into the session’s energy. ✔ Other times, we’ll pull a card together during the session to explore any blocks, reflections, or guidance needed. ✔ Instead of me interpreting the message for my client, we use it as a discussion tool—allowing the client’s own intuition to bring the insights forward.
Oracle cards fast-track breakthroughs by helping clients uncover hidden thoughts, shift their mindset, and make empowered decisions with greater clarity.
